Sculptural Exploration. Ages 10-11
Spring your art out into the third dimension freeing your imagination from the constraints of a flat surface. Discover variety of sculpture making techniques from the museum collection and create your own sculptural masterpieces using paper mâché, wood, clay, as well as non-traditional materials and found objects.
After Camp Club
After Camp is 5 days long, Mon-Fri, from 3pm-5:30 pm.
Space is limited, please register in advance! Note that we are unable to provide care after 5:30 p.m, you must plan to pick up your child by 5:30 pm.
One day registrations is possible. The space is not guarantieed, unless requested and confirmed in advance, by email. (firstname.lastname@example.org). The cost per day is $35 and must be paid in person by cash or check in advance or on the same day.
Intro to Drawing. Ages 10-11
Turn your doodles into artwork and your casual sketches into fully realized masterpieces! Carry on the traditions of America’s oldest art school by learning the secrets of naturalistic drawing and the creation of convincing three-dimensional illusions of figure and space.
Museum Explorers. Ages 10-11
Spend a week of fun in our one-of-a-kind camp at America’s oldest art museum with exclusive behind the scenes access to the museum building and art galleries. Learn about Museum’s secrets, discover traditional and innovative artworks, and express yourself by make art inspired by the building and the diverse artists in our collection!
Introduction to Painting. Ages 10-11
Embark on a creative journey into the art of painting! Learn about tools and materials and discover the foundations of color-mixing, composition, form, and perspective. Explore a variety of painting techniques under the guidance of professional artist-instructor and share your discoveries with likeminded campers.
Comic Books I. Ages 10-11
Bring your favorite characters and stories to life. This camp will expand your drawing and visual storytelling skills, deepen your understanding of character development, practice storyboarding, and much more! Design your own heroes and villains and create an eye-catching cover for your own comic book.
World Mythology. Ages 10-11
Reveal and revisit the stories and secrets of ancient civilizations! Have fun with friends, explore mythological tales from around the globe and create paintings, mosaics, masks, weaving projects and more all inspired by heroes, heroines, and fantastic beasts!
Comic Books II. Ages 10-11
Expand your character development skills and practice engaging storyboarding! Discover new layout styles, enhance your inking techniques, and develop new tricks for narrating and illustrating captivating stories with fascinating characters.
